Out of necessity, I quickly bought a pair of inexpensive reading glasses (plastic frames) while I was there. I was totally thrilled with the lenses, because I own a wide variety of reading glasses—both inexpensive and expensive—from opticians. A friend of mine has the exact same prescription, and when she forgot her glasses, I lent her these… and she, too, was extremely impressed, since there’s absolutely no visible distortion toward the outside (as is the case with many other glasses). On the inside of the temple, I could still make out the brand: LEXXOO +2.50, so I searched online and quickly found what I was looking for. Since I prefer metal frames, I went ahead and ordered these LEXXOO glasses “on a trial basis,” and I wasn’t disappointed by the lenses. The only drawback is that they only come in a frame width of 12.5 cm, but I need 13.5 cm… so the temples rest against the sides of my temples. It’s not that they pinch, but when I take the glasses off, you can tell I wear glasses because of the shiny spots on my skin. LEXXOO should offer metal frames in various widths and lens sizes.
The Lesebrille.de online store has a very user-friendly layout, and placing the order was a breeze. Delivery was very fast and the package was well-protected in a Maxi-Brief box. Thank you 🙂
